Dr. Hayes graduated from Polytechnic Institute of New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and received a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

His interests include travel, computers, ham radio, photography, and spending time with family, friends, and family pets, which have included dogs, cats, ferrets, and bearded dragons.
